Reigning champions Vipers and 10-time league winners KCCA FC kicked off their title quest in style with 3-0 victories on the opening day of the 2015/2016 Azam Uganda Premier League that commenced on Saturday across the country.
The Lugogo based side who have now shifted their home games to Nakivubo Stadium condemned Sadolin Paints away in Bugembe. Joseph Ochaya, Nelson Senkatuka and an own goal from Kisege Paul gave the Kasasiro boys a deserved win.
At the Buikwe stadium, Farouk Miya continued to show why he deservedly won the most valuable player (MVP) award last season as he netted a brace while new recruit Brian Nkuubi (from Kira Young) came through with the other for the defending champions.
Elsewhere, at the Wankulukuku Stadium, home side Express FC shared the spoils with Police FC in goalless draw while the score sheet was no different when Soana hosted Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreations grounds.
