The Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) finally returns today after a month-long break for the second round with six fixtures being played across the country.

At the heart of the capital city, current table leaders Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) will host title rivals Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) at Nakivubo stadium.

KCCA will be eager to introduce their January transfer acquisitions and their dynamic duo that were promoted from the junior team.

The new recruits include Ceasar Samson Okhuti who joined the Kasasiro boys from league rivals Express FC, Farouk Kawooya and Godfrey Sembatya who came in from Sports Club Victoria University (SC VU) while Julius Poloto and Edward Kikonyogo were promoted from their Junior team.

Meanwhile, URA whose efforts to secure Fred Kajoba as their new coach failed to go through,  will be without midfielder Patrick Ochan who was released and towering defender Richard Kasagga Jjuuko who left for a second stint in Lebanon.

They will now turn their focus on their three January signings to see what they can add to the team that will be looking to close the point gap between the two sides. The new signings include defenders Joseph Owino and Savio Kabugo plus Nicholas Kagaba.

Five points separate the two sides with URA sitting fourth on the 16 team log with 24 points while KCCA who are on 29 points will be looking to extend their grip on the top of the table.
