A draft fixture for the 2015/16 Azam Uganda Premier league season was released yesterday by the local football governing body as earlier promised during the weekly press conference held on Wednesday.
However the draft fixture only accounts for 15 clubs that managed to acquire licenses as demanded by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) ahead of the new campaign.
In a league that is known to have 16 clubs, Lweza Football Club were left out of the fixture as they await for a response from the FUFA Appeals committee.
“Lweza F.C was relegated by the FUFA licensing committee after failure to comply with the registration procedure in time like the other clubs. They however appealed against the relegation to the appeals committee through the FUFA CEO. Their case will be ruled when the appeals committee convenes,” FUFA Competitions manager, Ali Mwebe clarifies on the matter.
