Twelve member countries took part in the elections with each voting once. A five-year-old boy’s penis was severed in a vicious attack from a blood-thirsty pit bull. The young boy was visiting relatives two weeks ago in Yonkers, New York, when the attack happened in an apartment where dogs over 25 pounds are banned. A religious court has ordered an Israeli woman to circumcise her son against her will – or pay a fine of $140 a day. The woman refused to let her son be circumcised under Jewish law because she said it would ‘mutilate’ him. But her husband, with whom she is reportedly getting divorced, demanded that the ritual take place, The Times of Israel reported. Ian Watkins, singer of Welsh rock band Lostprophets, has pleaded guilty to a series of “depraved” child sex offences including attempted rape of a baby. He had previously “furiously denied” the allegations. The 36-year-old from Pontypridd and two women had been due to stand trial at Cardiff Crown Court. Watkins pleaded guilty to attempted rape and sexual assault of a child under 13 but not guilty to rape. This was accepted by the prosecution. Sentencing will take place on 18 December.
