The Tanzanian government has asked Zari to refrain from holding her famous Zari All White Party in the country after she failed to follow the due procedure given by Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (Basata). Basata is Tanzania’s national arts council which is responsible for the revival, promotion and development of the arts in the country.
