After nearly three years of silence, renowned Ugandan blogger and vlogger Ashburg Katto (The Big Fish) has reappeared on social media, sparking curiosity and speculation among his fans.

Ashburg Katto

Known for his bold statements and controversial political stance, Katto made headlines once again with a series of claims about his predictive abilities.

“I know what the future is bringing. That’s why I always tell you things and you think I am mad and a liar,” Katto stated during his interview on a local TV station.

He emphasized his point by recalling his prediction of Bobi Wine’s presidential bid against President Yoweri Museveni. “I foretold Bobi Wine’s contest for the Presidential seat against H.E Museveni,” he added.

Katto’s return to the public eye marks a significant moment after his extended absence, which left many of his followers wondering about his whereabouts.

His disappearance from social media was particularly notable given his influential role in Uganda’s 2021 General Elections, where he actively campaigned for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) after defecting from Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP).

In 2020, Katto made a controversial shift by joining the NRM, a move that shocked many due to his close association with Bobi Wine.

His transition was met with mixed reactions, but it solidified his presence as a key figure in political blogging and vlogging, as well as a prominent social media influencer for the NRM.

However, Katto’s career faced a significant setback when his social media accounts were grounded for over two years.

Reports suggest that this was due to his support for the NRM, a party accused by foreign authorities of human rights violations. This period of silence left a void in his once-active online presence.

Now, as Katto resurfaces, his fans and followers are eager to see what the future holds for the outspoken blogger.

His claims of foresight and his past political predictions continue to fuel discussions, making him a notable figure in Uganda’s dynamic political landscape.
