Earlier this week singer Sophie Gombya stepped down as Uganda Musician Association (UMA) President and appointed her Vice President Ykee Benda as the new President a thing that caused alot of mixed reactions from different stake holders in the industry

Among those who reacted are Ugandan musicians in the Diaspora headed by Revboy who came out and expressed their disappointment in the association and they urged the new President to perform better this time around

According to Revboy, artists in the Diaspora are often neglected and are treated as they are not Ugandans a thing he wants to change during the term of the new President.

“We are also Ugandans we do music and we want to earn from it like other artists at home, but it bothers us that we are often forgotten, we need the new President to care about us, they should work on the copyright law to see that we can also earn from our music, we invest alot in our music, we need the new president to correct the mistakes of the previous one” Revboy said while appearing on BBS TV
