Arsene Wenger has left Arsenal fans livid after being spotted flying to Rome to referee a match for peace on transfer deadline day.
With the Gunners in desperate need of reinforcements, supporters were expecting the Frenchman to devote all his energy to landing the key signings needed to fire the club towards a league challenge.
However, after being photographed flying to Rome, it has now transpired that Wenger is in fact the guest of honour at the first Interreligious Match for Peace held at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Gunners boss will be joined by the likes of David Trezeguet, Andrea Ranocchia and Andrea Pirlo for the one-off event in Italy.
But despite Wenger nobly giving up his time for a fantastic cause, Arsenal fans have been left livid that their manager has seemingly abandoned his post on what could be one of the most pivotal days of the club’s season.
