Arsenal have been reportedly ready to release £32m to bring Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez to the Emirates.
The Chilean, who has had an impressive campaign in the ongoing World Cup, was earlier said to be part of the bid for Luis Suarez but the pacy striker said he would rather join Arsenal than Liverpool.
The Gunners offer meets Barcelona’s valuation and Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on convincing the Chilean to choose Emirates.
But it will not be easy for Arsenal as Liverpool are also badly interested in Sanchez, and Arsene who have the striker his shopping list this summer is expected to meet Sanchez’s agent in Brazil this week.
