ARSENAL have added a fourth German World Cup winner to their squad.
However, unfortunately for Gunners fans it is not Real Madrid star Sami Khedira.
It is Shad Forsythe, a fitness coach who formed part of Germany’s backroom staff in Brazil this summer.
While Forsythe’s addition to Arsene Wenger’s team has gone relatively under the radar, Arsenal star Mesut Ozil certainly noticed.
“Another world champion for the Gunners! 😉 welcome to #Arsenal, Shad Forsythe! #newFitnessCoach #AFC” he posted on Twitter.
Arsenal have had much debated injury problems in recent years, with the likes of About Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey spending lengthy periods on the treatment table.
But Wenger hopes the acquisition on Forsythe can go some way to solving his injury worries.
“He would not be here if I was not impressed,” said Wenger.
“We are trying to be as good as we can everywhere. We might still bring somebody else in to be as accurate as possible and preventative as well. We can still improve in some departments to prepare better.”
