ARSENAL are moving closer to a sensational deal for Barcelona star Pedro.
The Gunners have been tracking the 27-year-old for a while, with reports indicating he is unhappy at the Camp Nou.
Pedro is thought to be valued at £25million, but there has been another twist in the saga which could work in Arsenal’s favour.
Reports on the continent suggest Pedro has handed in a transfer request to force a move away from Barcelona.
It is thought Pedro wants more game time and is hoping to leave the Catalan giants in January.
Pedro was coy about his Barcelona future before the World Cup as he said: “I don’t know what’s going to happen yet, I don’t know anything.
“I’m calm though, I’m at the World Cup and that’s all that matters right now.
“When a decision has to be made, I’ll speak with the club and we’ll see what happens.
“Right now I’m only concentrating on the Spain squad and having a good World Cup. Whatever comes in the future, will come.”
