Armed robbers reportedly raided dfcu Bank Bwaise branch on Monday evening.
According to a statement released by the bank, several armed men ambushed the bank staff as they were closing up to leave the branch after work. Although the robbery was foiled, some of the bank’s employees were physically assaulted in the attack. The affected staff are currently receiving medical attention and counselling.
The matter has since been reported to the police while the bank is reviewing the security measures in place to enhance its security.
The branch remains closed today as investigations are underway.
