Local comedienne Anne Kansiime won big at the recently concluded Sub-Saharan African YouTube Awards that were hosted by Google in Johannesburg, South Africa last week.
Kansiime won two awards including Top Subscribed Creator in Uganda and Comedy category.
The YouTube Awards celebrate the diverse talent and creativity associated with the channel.
Nominees were chosen based solely on subscriber numbers. Users had to have a minimum of 50 000 subscribers to qualify and be based and currently residing in one of eight launched countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
The eight countries in SSA are Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria, and Senegal.
