This year is promising and proving one finest comedy talent Anne Kansiime will never forget even on her death bed. It will be a great moment for the minute Anne Kansiime who, in records, will be the first Ugandan comedian to meet the Queen of England.
According to the comic’s manager, Johnson Mujungu, “the reigning African Queen of Comedy Kansiime Anne has received and accepted an invitation to the Commonwealth Day reception in London on March 10, 2014 in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburg.” He further said,“Kansiime will be a special guest to the Commonwealth Secretary General and his wife.”
Anna’s career has been a blessing to Ugandan comedy as she has set a perfect example of a perfect talent. In 2013, she scooped a prestigious entertainment medal at the African Social Awards Malaysia (ASAM) 2013 in Malaysia. She had earlier been crowned Best Comedian in the BETTFA 2013 Awards and this will promote her more internationally.
