Comedian Anne Kansiime has decided to show her philanthropic side this year. The funny woman from the hills of Kigezi, through yet-to-be launched charity organisation – The Kansiime Foundation, has promised to pay school dues for 30 needy children every year.
Kansiime who will be launching her charity organisation at her upcoming show in March says The Kansiime Foundation aims to provide high achieving children from economically deprived backgrounds opportunities for education.
Here’s what she said about her charity project.
“This is just a sneak peak on the upcoming #IamKansiime show programme.
On March 24th on the #IamKansiime show, I will be officially launching The Kansiime Foundation.
You have supported me too much my ninjas and this has continuously enabled me to do what I have always desired to do for so long. Help the needy.
Starting this year 2016 The Kansiime foundation will be taking on 30 children from 7 different schools in Western Uganda (starting from my home), then take on more from all over the country as God leads me and as he provides.
You have made the saying “charity begins at home” a reality for me. Thank you.
No heart richer that the giving heart.”
