Gareth Bale’s Real Madrid lost their second successive home derby against city rivals Atletico on Saturday, and disgruntled fans have taken their frustrations out on the Welshman, attempting to kick his car as he left training on Monday.
Bale helped Madrid win the Champions League just five months ago, but all that was forgotten after he refused to sign autographs for fans who had been waiting outside the Spanish club’s training complex.
The combination of a derby-day defeat and Bale speeding away was clearly too much to take for these supporters, who also directed abuse at Toni Kroos and Raphael Varane as they made their way home.
