The former Ballon d’Or winner is only two months into a two-year contract with Mexican outfit Queretaro but the Angolan outfit are desperate to sign the Brazilian

Kabuscorp president Benedicto Kangamba has claimed that the Angolan club are trying to sign former Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldinho.

The Brazilian attacker is currently plying his trade in Mexico with Queretaro, having signed a two-year contract with the Liga MX outfit in September.

However, Kangamba has revealed that he is desperate to sign the former Barcelona ace, who would be following in the footsteps of former Selecao team-mate Rivaldo, who had a short stint at Kabuscorp in 2012.

“We are striving in negotiations with Ronaldinho’s agent to bring him here for one year,” the Kangamba told Lusa.

“With this type of players we can win the CAF Champions League and then we can play in the Club World Cup, and thus face European teams.

“That is the dream of any president of a club.”

Ronaldinho started his career at Gremio before leaving for Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in 2001.

The World Cup winner moved to Barcelona two seasons later, establishing himself as the best player in the world during a successful five-year stay at Camp Nou.

Ronaldinho subsequently spent time at AC Milan, Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro before linking up with Queretaro.
