Songbird Angella Katatumba is set to finally handover proceeds from her highly successful maiden concert to the Uganda Cancer Institute.
Dubbed “Mulago Yaffe”, the charity concert which was held at Kampala Serena hotel early this month managed to raise millions of shillings towards the fight against cancer through ticket sales and several generous contributions.
According to Angella’s publicist Brian Muhumuza, the proceeds from the concert will be handed over to the Uganda Cancer Institute this Friday, 29th July at an event that will be held at Mulago hospital.
Meanwhile, Angella has previously been cited in several other philanthropic projects geared towards improving the standards of healthcare facilities in Uganda. Early this year, she donated Ugx 10 million to the Mulago Special Care Unit which was used in the purchase of a Phototherapy machine and Syringe Pump which are saving lives of several premature babies born at the facility.
