Katatumba and Shumuk have been fighting over property ownership for about 5 years now. The properties include Shumuk house, Hotel Diplomat and Katatumba suites. However, it seems the courts could have finally settled the wrangles and decided on the rightful owner of the said properties.
Angella Katatumba, the daughter to the business man, could not hide her excitement after her dad won the long overdue case that has been hanging in balance in courts of law.
According to Angella, it was ruled that Katatumba is the rightful owner of the above properties and therefore Shumuk will have to pay interest of 24% per year of the 1.9m USD balance that he owes Dr. Katatumba from the period of 6 years he had unlawfully occupied the Katatumba suites. The judge also ordered Shumuk to cancel all the titles that he had fraudulently transferred in his names and be put back in Katatumba’s and these include the suites, Katatumba Banda island and Hotel Diplomat.
“I woke up today expecting a miracle of our victory in court with Shumuk and we got it. I love to thank you Jesus and I humbly give you all the glory we beat Shumuk on all grounds and I mean all grounds in court today…” wrote Angella Katatumba

SHUMUK HAS TO PAY INTEREST OF 24% PER YEAR OF THE 1.9M USD BALANCE HE OWES DR. KATATUMBA FROM THE PERIOD OF 6 YEARS HE HAS OCCUPIED KATATUMBA SUITES WHICH COMES OUT TO OVER 10 BILLION UGX.
– SHUMUK HAS TO PAY COSTS…(estimated to be in the hundreds of millions)
– SHUMUK HAS TO PAY DAMAGES… (estimated to be in the hundreds of millions)
-AND SHUMUK HAS TO PAY 300,000 MILLION UGX TO DR BONEY KATATUMBA FOR HIS PERSONAL SUFFERING AND THE DAMAGE DONE TO HIS REPUTATION.
– THE JUDGE ORDERED SHUMUK TO CANCEL ALL THE TITLES (KATATUMBA SUITES, HOTEL DIPLOMATE AND KATATUMBA BANDA ISLAND) THAT HE FRAUDULENTLY TRANSFERRED IN HIS NAMES. THEY WILL BE PUT BACK IN KATATUMBA’S NAMES.
