Ugandan print, radio and TV journalist, Andrew Mwenda on female singer Sheebah Karungi’s alleged sexual harassment saga continues to flourish and seems not to end now.
After declining social media reports of him having clear knowledge about Sheebah’s sexual violation last weekend, Andrew Mwenda has gone ahead and called for the Police intervention in establishing the truth in Sheebah’s saga.
Through his Twitter account on Friday, Mwenda said that he has interacted with the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) director who is willing to file a case, investigating about Sheebah’s sexual molestation.
Mwenda also says Sheebah is concealing the right criminal as social media slays him (Andrew Mwenda) in the same case.
“I have talked to the director of CID who has agreed to open a case to find out the person who allegedly raped singer Sheeba Kalungi. Police are going to call her and ask her to reveal the offender. Sheeba is being disingenuous in hiding the true rapist as social media lynch me,” Andrew Mwenda tweeted.
The Independent news magazine CEO also asks Sheebah to collaborate with the authorities for justice if its true that she was sexually harassed.
“If Sheeba was either raped or sexually molested or violated in any way, the offender should he apprehended by police, taken to courts of law to face justice. She therefore has a duty to reveal this offender to the authorities so that justice can be served,” he added.
To exhaustively neat his name, Mwenda has also chatted with his close friend, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba who has promised to offer ample security to the “Nakyuka” hitmaker incase she fears her life in revealing the real criminal in her case.
“I have talked to Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba who has promised to call Sheeba and offer her all the protection she needs in case she is afraid that revealing the person who raped her would be risky. The singer now has no excuse to fear to collaborate with police to arrest this rapist!”
The currently booming social media ruckus sparked on Thursday, May 12, 2022 when Andrew Mwenda trashed Sheebah Karungi’s sexual violation claims earlier this week.
