Self-made millionaire Amos Wekesa, the founder of Great Lakes Safaris & Uganda Lodges Ltd, has revealed he will invite celebrated World football stars Messi and Neymar to Uganda in a bid to boost the local tourism industry.
He said: “Rayco Garcia was meant to leave Uganda on Sunday but I made sure he changes his ticket to leave Wednesday in order for us to take advantage of the potential PR for Uganda. We have agreed that I fly to Barcelona to meet Messi and Neymar to invite them to Uganda to visits the source of the Nile, see mountain gorillas and Murchison Falls!! Each of these individuals has millions of followers around the world and yes, them endorsing Uganda will help tourism go a long way!! I will buy my own ticket and I hope Andrew Seguya and Stephen Asiimwe come along”
