They’re separated, but still Tweethearts! Wiz Khalifa sent birthday wishes to his estranged wife Amber Rose on Tuesday, Oct. 21, via Twitter, and her response was even more surprising.
The “Young, Wild & Free” rapper, 27, first reached out to his estranged wife, with whom he shares 20-month-old son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz.
Rose, who turned 31 on Tuesday, received her ex’s wishes with love and kindness.
Their latest interaction is a significant contrast from her previous, heartbroken tweets shared in the wake of her divorce filing. On Oct. 6, the budding actress shared with fans: “The pain…I wake up every morning feeling like my best friend died….. I never knew what a true heartache felt like until now.”
The mother of one also alluded to Khalifa being unfaithful in their relationship, writing: “Please stop with the fake stories. I would never ever ever cheat on my husband in a million years I think u guys know this… Unfortunately my now ex husband can’t say the same… I’m devastated and crushed but my main focus is Sebastian. Thank u for all the support in this difficult time.”
Rose spoke with Us Weekly last Thursday, Oct. 16, and said she’s focusing on herself after her split. “I’m okay. I’m doing pretty good,” she told Us. “I am going through a divorce and technically I’m single I guess you could say, but I’m just not ready for [dating]. I’m focused on my son and I’m focused on work and I really don’t have time for a man right now.”
