Alien Skin, the CEO of Fangone Forest, has made claims about his impact on Uganda’s music industry, saying that his presence has transformed it from a struggling sector into one that is now respected and admired.

In a video shared online, Alien Skin didn’t shy away from expressing his belief that the industry owes him gratitude for what he describes as his significant contributions.

According to Alien Skin, when he entered the scene, the Ugandan music industry was often disregarded and seen as inferior.

However, through his efforts, he believes he has helped shift public perception, boosting the industry’s reputation and setting a high standard. He claims his influence has paved the way for younger artists to succeed and be taken seriously.

In his statement, he specifically mentioned rising talents like Liam Voice, Joshua Baraka, Acidic Vokoz, and Vyroota, suggesting that these artists should appreciate the foundation he laid.

Alien Skin even compared himself to legendary Ugandan musicians like Ragga Dee, Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, and Bobi Wine, whose contributions are undeniable but who are gradually stepping aside to make room for a new generation.

“The Ugandan music industry should appreciate me for gracing it,” he stated. “There is a level/point where I got it when it was being taken as trash and elevated it to a point that is taken seriously. Just imagine when this generation of Ragga Dee, Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, and Bobi Wine is gone – the likes of Liam Voice, Anknown, Vyroota, and Joshua Baraka will carry the legacy.”
