After serving his second spell at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Alex Isabirye Musongola threw in the towel for personal reasons.
Isabirye has now been named by BUL Football Club as their new head coach on a two year contract. In an interview with Airtelfootball.ug, Joseph Mutaka, the club’s Public Relations Officer confirmed the development.
“Alex Isabirye Musongola is our new head coach on a two-season’s deal as he replaces caretaker coach Joseph Mutyaba who decided to resign,” Joseph Mutaka revealed.
Coach Isabirye now steps into the shoes of former interim coach Joseph Mutyaba who assumed charges after the sacking of Kefa Kisala early this year.
BUL are now expected to gain from the experience of coach Isabirye as the ex-cranes striker has previously served at Sports club Victoria University (SCVU) and Uganda Revenue Authority football Club.
Isabirye couldn’t hide his joy during the official unveiling ceremony at the club headquarters in Masese, Jinja.
“I have joined BUL because it has huge ambitions that suit my career as a coach. I know BUL is one of those great clubs every coach would wish to work with simply because of its unique set up,” a jolly Isabirye stated.
