Two Ugandan journalists have been chosen to moderate the highly-anticipated presidential debate, slated to take place on January 15th 2016, at Serena Hotel. The two journalists are BBC’s Alan Kasujja and former NTV’s news anchor Nancy Kacungira who now plies her trade at KTN, Kenya, and BBC respectively.
The expectations are, of course, high for the two seasoned journalists. However, President Museveni’s presence at the debate is still a doubt. Apparently, the President will only attend if there is time and if not, he will send a representative, said Justine Lumumba, the NRM Secretary General.
The debate is organized by the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU).
