It was such a traumatizing and trying moment for Aisha Nabukeera when she got burnt at the age of 13. Many people thought it was all over for her until Frank Gashumba took the mantle to look after her.
Yesterday, Aisha surprised many when she came out to contest in the most prestigious beauty contest, Miss Uganda 2015.
While at the preliminaries of Miss Uganda beauty contest that were held at club Guvnor, Aisha also appeared among the contestants and wowed the judges.
According to one of the judges, scars will not hamper Aisha’s chance of victory and therefore it’s should not be a surprise if she is ultimately crowned Miss Uganda. Among the qualities highlighted to better her chances included the brains and boldness that she exhibited.
The precedent set by Aisha sends a clear signal to the rest of the world that not all is lost even after you are hit by a catastrophe.
Aisha Nabukeera is expected among the top 21 contestants that will fight for the crown come July 10th in Kampala. BigEye.ug wishes her the best.
