Following successful network expansion and countrywide broadband availability campaigns, Airtel Uganda has announced a new plan to expand their footprint across Uganda in a bid to continue providing excellent one-on-one customer care experiences to subscribers.

This announcement was made during a morning press conference to officially open a new premium shop in Nansana town. The shop will offer Airtel’s latest range of offerings along with fast and convenient customer service in a welcoming and customer-friendly environment.

According to Mr. Ali Balunywa, the Airtel Uganda Sales and Distribution Director, “Having successfully expanded our network to reach even the most remote areas of Uganda through increased network masts and more reliable network connectivity, we now feel that it is important to enhance the customer experience by ensuring our physical presence in as many areas as possible.”

“These 18 premium shops will further strengthen our footprint in Uganda by supplementing on our already existing kiosks, mini shops, distributor locations and super agencies,” he added.

Mr. Daniel Christopher Kaweesi the Town Clerk of Nansana Town and Guest of Honor applauded Airtel Uganda for her efforts in extending specialized services to as many communities as possible.

“We welcome you to our community and look forward to walking into this premium shop to have all our telecommunications’ needs sorted,” he said.

In the past, Airtel Uganda has opened premium shops in Entebbe, Gulu, Lira, Kabale, Soroti, Jinja, FortPortal, Mbale, Mbarara and Arua districts. The telecom operator further embarked on the same road to customer satisfaction and opened premium shops in Mityana district as well as New Park and Ntinda in Kampala district.

The new shops will be found in central and accessible locations with convenient opening hours and superior merchandise. They will act as a one-stop center for Airtel service solutions such as SIM card purchases and registrations, Airtel Money, e-recharge and data connectivity. The shops will also have experienced staff in place for consultations on all Airtel’s offerings.
