Airtel Uganda handed over the Kabaka Run marathon kits to the Buganda Kingdom at a press conference held at the Buganda Kingdom offices in Mengo.
The handover was graced by Buganda Kingdom officials led by the Kingdom Minister of Sports Owek. Sekabembe Henry as well as Airtel Uganda staff led by the Brand & communication head, Remmie Kisakye.
For the third consecutive year, Airtel Uganda is the main sponsor of the 2015 Kabaka Run, one of the four major Buganda Kingdom activities that commerates the Kabaka’s birthday.

“I urge all our dear customers & the public to register in big numbers to participate in the Kabaka Run. Not only is it good for one’s health but your participation will go a long way to help fight fistula in Uganda” said Remmie Kisakye.
Mr. Henry Sekabembe, the Buganda Kingdom Minister of Sports thanked Airtel Uganda for honoring their commitment to support the Buganda Kingdom activities for the past two years.
He also thanked the telecommunications company for their substantial contribution towards improving the lives of women in Uganda.
“I would like to encourage all the Ugandans who have not yet registered for the Kabaka Run to do so immediately. These women need your help,” he concluded.
