Airtel Uganda, one of the biggest telecommunications company has taken a lead ahead of MTN Uganda as they have officially announced the sponsorship of the Uganda Cranes team. The Airtel – Uganda cranes marriage comes shortly after a mega marriage between Airtel and Warid. The press release was today at Serena hotel Kampala.
Today Monday the 28th of October, Airtel has announced Shs.950m will be injected in the Uganda national team while Shs100m will cater for both FUFA Big League and the Uganda Cup every year and the signed contract will last for four years.
According to Magoggo Moses “We shall be looking forward to utilizing the sponsorship package and we shall be also looking for top talents in the country.”
Previously, Uganda Cranes has been sponsored by MTN injecting a whooping Shs 300m.
