Kalifah Aganaga went on bent knee in respect of his mother during his maiden Nassanga Guddy Guddy Gyal concert on Friday at the Club Ambiance parking lot as he dedicated his concert to her.
Kalifah rose to fame in 2012 after he diverted his tuition fees to record his first single titled Mina Konda which became a hit song across the country receiving massive airplay on both local radio and TV stations. He later got signed to Twinkle Star Agency managed by Emma Carlos from where he released more hit songs such as Ndabirawa, Oyitangayo among others.
The concert had been in preparation for 12 months. Initially, it was set for Kati Kati gardens but that changed because the venue wasn’t available.
You can tell why the concert meant so much to him, for this is one man who risked it all. Kalifah decided to take all his tuition and accommodation fees while in second year at Makerere University and invest it in recording music.
