January is a month that many Ugandans loathe and love to bid farewell. If you are one of these people, you will be excited to hear this news.

January ends this week on Wednesday 31st, and to bid farewell to this harsh month, Unplugged Sn 2 brings the kings of live music to Liquid Silk Naalya for a live show.

The last time Afrigo Band graced Unplugged Sn 2, Liquid Silk Naalya had to put up an outdoor stage, where the band put up a remarkable show to close 2017. Afrigo Band is the oldest and most respected band in Uganda, so the decision to bring them back to the Unplugged Sn 2 stage is therefore no surprise at all.

Indeed, when we caught up with Thalma from Liquid Silk, about this development, she confirmed that “Unplugged Sn 2 is the biggest live music celebration in Kampala today, and you can’t have a live music celebration without the kings of live music: Afrigo” For more than 41 years, Afrigo Band has shown Ugandan’s what live music really is. To date, they continue to serenade and entertain with their 80s and 90s hits like “Jim”, “Speed Controle” and most recently “Tukkigale”.
