The AMI Afrika People’s Choice Awards are upon us.
The awards, which will be hosted in Kampala late this month, will honour top African musicians.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Stellah Nantumbwe, the Vice President AMI Awards, noted that the award ceremony will lead to discovery of new talent as it will bring together musicians from the different African countries.
“We will have artistes from different African countries under one roof and this will be a chance for them to get together; an opportunity for them to talk, discover new talent and create new music.” She said.
The AMI Afrika People’s Choice Awards, according to the organisers, is a multi-cultural award that aims at honoring musicians, celebrities and dignitaries who have captured audiences, challenged and transformed our understanding through arts, music, and fashion while also building the bridge between the African cultures and the world.
“We are dedicated to the well-being prosperity and preservation of the youth’s communities and families everywhere around the world through our arts and cultures. We strive for our stellar philanthropic efforts to leave an everlasting impression that will be felt for generations to come.” Esaie M. Schnaps, the CEO AMI Awards noted.
The awards will take place on Saturday, March 24 at Kampala Serena Hotel.
