Africa’s top standup comedians will on 26th August 2016 stage a larger-than-life comedy experience in the third edition of the all-star Africa cast comedy show dubbed ”Africa Laughs III”.
Africa Laughs III will be held at the plush Kampala Serena hotel. The show concept is built upon top African comedians who have enjoyed enormous recognition in the art of stand-up comedy throughout the continent. The show is an effort to create a unifying African bond between the represented African countries to expose the different cultures and traditions exhibited in these countries.
And in an effort to promote the industry locally, the show will also feature four leading homebred comedians and a surprise musician to spice up the evening. This special edition will be characterized by an auditorium memorable experience, a lounge and live show experience.
Africa Laughs III comes with an extremely amazing lineup of celebrated and respected stand-up comedy stars that include; Bovi from Nigeria, Eddie Kadi from Congo, Ndumiso Lindi from SouthAfrica, Carl Joshua Ncube from Zimbabwe, Eric Omondi from Kenya, Arthur Nkusi from Rwanda and Uganda’s Anne Kansiime, Alex Muhangi, Dual Madrat & Chico, Patrick Salvado, Teacher Mpamire, Napoleone Emmah & Ronnie McVex.
The show will also have live performances from Myko Ouma and the Janzi Band that will entertain guests with soothing Jazz musical interludes to act as breathers from the enormous doses of laughter.
According to Africa Laughs III CEO- comedian Patrick ‘Salvado’ Idringi, the stand-up comedians expected to perform have unwavering dignity and beautiful creativity. “They are driven by focus, determination and ingenuity. Through their shows, these comedians create richly complex characters that resonate with everyone, validate our humanity and existence, thus reflecting our deep feelings and desires. This therefore empowers us to make a positive difference and do profound changes to ourselves and our communities around us,” Salvado said.
This edition that will majorly focus on fans’ experience, is sponsored by Mirinda, Nakumatt, Silver springs Hotel, Rwanda Air, Salvado Pizza, NBS TV, Galaxy FM and Club Twist who together pooled a combined sponsorship valued at over Shs 200 Million.
Entry fee to Africa Laughs III will be Shs 100,000 UGX only.
