After smashing countless records, Adele’s ‘Hello’ has now become the fastest video to hit 1 Billion views on YouTube.
The streaming service announced that Adele’s music video had garnered 1 billion views in 87 days, breaking the 158-day record held by Psy’s “Gangnam Style.”
“If anyone deserves it, it’s Adele and that song,” Susanne Daniels, the head of original programming at YouTube, told the New York times.
Youtube also announced that 17 videos have reached 1 billion views, and all of them are music related.
Some of the videos in the billionaire club include Maroon 5’s “Sugar,” Major Lazer’s “Lean On,” OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars,” LMFAO’s “Party Rock”, Sia’s “Chandelier” and Whiz Khalifa’s “See You Again.”
