Adele has admitted she doesn’t want to get married to her partner Simon Konecki.
The singer, who has just made her music comeback with chart-topping single Hello, insisted she hadn’t secretly married her partner despite reports.
According to Sunday World, Adele, who has a 3-year-old son with Simon, said she already felt “committed” to him so didn’t “feel the need” to tie the knot.
She explained: “I have said a million times I’m not married and everyone still says we are. But, yeah, we’re still together.
“We haven’t broken up. We’ve never broken up. We’ve been together. We just haven’t felt the need to get married. We’ve got a kid together. I feel like that’s a big enough commitment.”
The Grammy award winner praised her “supportive” partner for being cool about her huge success, in comparison to her former boyfriend who was “uncomfortable” with her fame.
She revealed: “He’s so supportive. And that takes a very big man, because I’m very successful at what I do.
“My last boyfriend was uncomfortable with how successful I was, and the fact that he had to share me with lots of people.”
On whether her new hit, which has become the biggest selling record in 15 years, was about her former lover, who inspired her incredible second album which propelled her to stardom, Adele seemed to suggest otherwise.
The mum of 1 insisted: “If I were still writing about him, that’d be terrible. ‘Hello’ is as much about regrouping with myself, reconnecting with myself.”
