If you’re a fan of Ugandan music, you’ve probably spotted her in at least one of the trending music videos. Being a multi-talented woman, Nagginda Siamah Belle has done it all. The popular actress cum video vixen talked to Demo Riley about her career among other things. Here are the excerpts.
Briefly tell us who you are?
Am Nagginda Siamah aged 24 years old, an actress with Bakayimbira Dramacters, a video vixen and a fashion model with Latif Military Academy.
For the starters, when did you join the video vixen stint and where did you ignite the inspiration.
My first video was in 2016 called Emergency by Nemesis. The video director came to my acting company and asked for me. The script was much of acting so I got a chance and featured in. It was really fun, since then have never looked back.
So, which music videos have you featured in so far.
Double trouble by Jose Chameleon, Mboozi Z’amalwa by Bebe Cool featuring Sauti Sol,Mukama Katonda by David Lutalo, Ba Pipo Ntayi by Dr Hilder Man, just to mention but a few.
Alright so, let’s talk of the payment, we’ve often heard countless vixens complaining of not being paid, has it ever happened to you?
I thank God it has never happened to me because am under some management and they can’t get me without clearing with my management so I usually go to set when everything is settled.
Still about the payments, approximately how much do they pay for a single vixen?
It depends on the hours have worked for but its not below $150.
What are some of the challenges in your field of work?
You might reach the set early and you happen to shoot late at night, disrespect exhibited by artistes, and sometimes, some video directors are rude, it’s a lot just know.
Away from that, where do you see yourself in like 5 years from now?
I want to be one of the best actresses in Uganda, featuring in big music videos outside Uganda, Isha Allah.
Any achievements so far?
Well, have got friends, I have a lot of connections, and currently I own my business besides being a vixen and an actress, lots of opportunities like doing adverts for corporate companies.
Your last message for your fans and people who look up to you.
For my fan, thank you so much for the support, a lot is still coming and I will not disappoint you. Last but not least.. This goes to all the women and girls who look up to me.
