Local actress Eleanor Nabwiso is flying high.
Eleanor was named the Best Actress at the 9th edition of International Festival of Cinema and Audiovisual of Burundi(FESTICAB) held at the French Institute of Burundi on Friday, May 26.
She received a nod for her stellar performance in 2016 movie, RAIN, in which she played the lead role.
She could not hide her excitement about the achievement. She said,“I won Best Actress Award for the movie RAIN. Thank you FESTICAB Burundi. I’m truly honored for this award! Cheers to greater beginnings!”
RAIN is a drama about one girl (Dora Nantongo) who holds on to the idea of hope irrespective of her overwhelming tragedies. Born in a humble village in Masaka, she unfalteringly pursues her dream of becoming a great music star.
