AC Milan Keen On Selling Mario Balotelli

According to a respected Italian transfer expert, AC Milan are hoping Mario Balotelli impresses at the World Cup so they can sell him.

It looks like AC Milan are keen to get rid of Mario Balotelli, but they may need him to have a good World Cup in order to do so.

The enigmatic striker had a mixed 2013-14 campaign and despite a fairly impressive goal tally of 14, Balotelli won more headlines off the field.

Controversies in the Italian media frustrated Milan and Balotelli often appeared to give less than 100 percent, causing his relationship with directors and fans to be compromised.

Although Milan are set to sack Clarence Seedorf and replace him with Pippo Inzaghi, that may not mean Balotelli is wanted.

There have been reports that Milan have offered Balotelli to Arsenal and respected Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà believes the Rossoneri are depending on selling him.

“Milan are desperately trying to secure deals for Adel Taarabt and Adel Rami,” he explained on SportItalia.

“So Milan are hoping that Balotelli has a good World Cup, like his Euro 2012, because his sale can fund their transfer activity.

“At the moment selling Balotelli is the only way that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani can bring anyone in.”

While Arsenal have been linked with Balotelli, there are other potential suitors, including French side Monaco.

Milan would probably be looking for at least £20 million for Balotelli and could demand even more if he stars in Brazil, but whether Arsenal would be ready to take that gamble is by no means certain.
