Newly appointed Vipers head coach Abdullah Mubiru has axed five players as one of his first actions with the Uganda Cup champions.

Mubiru was unveiled on Monday at Imperial Resort Beach in Entebbe on Monday before calling his players and technical staff forĀ a meeting on Tuesday.

The players that have been asked to take their talents elsewhere include; Ibrahim Sadam Juma, John Ssemazi, Allan Kyambadde, Suleiman Mike Mutyaba and Yusuf Musika.

It’s should be remembered that Allan Kyambadde was voted the MVP (Most Valuable Player) for the 2013/2014 season while he was still at Express FC. The former Red Eagles duo (Kyambadde and John Sssemazi) will be returning to the Wankulukuku based club as part of a swap deal in the acquiring of the industrious Ibrahim Kayiwa.

Vipers kicked off their preseason training yesterday in preparation for the FUFA Super Cup tie against league winners KCCA FC that is slated for 14th August.
