Musician Abdul Mulaasi has confessed that his life in the limelight was only part of a much deeper story. In an interview with a YouTuber, Mulaasi disclosed that he had been working undercover for the government—even as his star rose in the entertainment industry.

Mulaasi revealed that his service began during President Yoweri Museveni’s National Resistance Army (NRA) takeover.
“I served during Museveni’s NRA when they took over power and stayed active in the army operations,” he said.
What shocked many was his claim that his covert role did not end with his military service. Instead, he continued working undercover even as he gained fame in the music world.
“Even when I became a celebrity, I stayed undercover and you didn’t know,” he stated.
According to Mulaasi, his safety was a priority. “I used to be protected by more than five officers,” he shared. “Two used to be on stage with me, and the others stayed backstage.”
