Singer Alexander Bagonza, popularly known as A Pass, has addressed the criticism from deejay and radio presenter DJ Nimrod regarding his latest album.

A Pass acknowledged Nimrod’s right to his opinion but questioned the appropriateness of sharing it publicly.
He emphasized that Nimrod, not being involved in the music production process, may not fully understand the effort and context behind the album.
“He doesn’t know how people sit while recording music,” A Pass stated.
The album in question, which A Pass released a few months ago, consists of 45 tracks.
Despite its ambitious scope, none of the songs have achieved the viral success seen with some of his previous hits. Additionally, copyright issues have prevented the album’s tracks from being available on TikTok, further impacting its reach and popularity.
DJ Nimrod had openly criticized the album, describing it as nonsensical and inferior to A Pass’s earlier works. In response, A Pass pointed out that some Ugandans overestimate the importance of their opinions. He noted that he did not seek approval or advice from anyone during the album’s production.
“I recorded the music with an aim,” A Pass explained, asserting that DJ Nimrod is not part of his target audience, which may explain the negative feedback. He urged critics to recognize that their tastes might not align with the intentions behind the album.
