During the recent Comedy Store show on Valentine’s Day, renowned comedian MC Mariachi stirred controversy with his jokes targeting TikToker Rango Tenge Tenge’s physical appearance.
On stage, MC Mariachi made insensitive remarks about Tenge Tenge’s body, stating, “If my wife gives birth to a child like Tenge Tenge, I swear that I would abandon her in the hospital.” This drew immediate backlash from the audience and online viewers.
Responding to the incident, A Pass, through a live video online, expressed his dismay at MC Mariachi’s actions, demanding an apology for the humiliation inflicted upon Tenge Tenge.
The singer’s call for accountability has garnered support from many who view body-shaming as unacceptable.
This is not the first time MC Mariachi has faced criticism for his comedic style.
In the past, he has been accused of crossing the line with his jokes, prompting complaints from various communities. Notably, the Ugandan Islamic community previously condemned him for offensive remarks, leading to a public apology from the comedian.
A Pass’ condemnation of MC Mariachi’s behavior has been widely praised, highlighting the importance of holding entertainers accountable for their words and actions.
The incident serves as a reminder of the impact of humor and the responsibility that comes with it.
