We caught up with Team Good Guy’s singer Wayne Vybes for a quick chat were he took us through his musical journey and his relationship with singer Queen Monster, here are the expects
who’s Wayne Vibes?
Wayne Vibes is a talented musician from the ghettos of Uganda, I am a vocalist, song writer and currently signed to Team Good Guys as the vice president
When did you start professional music?
I started professional music back then in 2012 and I have so far done a couple of songs making up a full album
What are the challenges you have faced in the industry as a singer
Beefing in the industry is too much at the moment, whoever sees you excelling wants to put you down. Also promotion is a bit hard, DJs don’t play our music, they undermine a lot of upcoming talent and the same applies to radio and TV presenters
How did you meet up with Queen Monster?
I was seeing her for quite a long time but we weren’t talking by then, she had manners that I was attracted to, her ways of life were also good until last year when I approached her and up to now we are still a thing
Do you consider recording a song with Queen Monster?
Of course we are working on a collabo that will be released soon, so all our fans should be ready for this one because it will be the best love song they will ever hear
How true is it that you guys are getting married next year
Yes I proposed to her and she has an expensive engagement ring that I bought her and in April next year we are planning an introduction where I will officially visit her parents then the wedding will follow
How do you cope up with her despite her being a celebrity?
We always put the celebrity status our when it comes to our family, she is a woman I am seeing my future with so we respect and trust each other, it’s always being loyal to one another that matters
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years music wise?
I aiming higher and within the next five years, I will have established as a top artiste locally and focusing on international recognition and I am hoping to win a couple of international awards like BET Award
Who’s your biggest inspirer
There’s only one person that inspires me always, and that’s my wife Queen Monster
