Local musician Eddy Kenzo has for the first time been nominated in the prestigious MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA). The “Sitya Loss” hitmaker is nominated in the Best Live Act category.
With palpable joy, Kenzo shared the news on social media where he posted: “Wooo!!! crazy great news reaching us from @MTVbaseAfrica our first nomination in the mama awards #bestliveact we go”
Eddy Kenzo will face off with Ghana’s Stonebwoy, Nigeria’s Flavour, South Africa’s Casper Nyovest and Mafikizolo.
The MTV Africa Music Awards, now in their 6th edition, recognise and reward musicians and achievers who have made the most impact on African music and youth culture over the previous year. This year’s winners will be awarded on Saturday 22 October 2016 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
