Many have in the past laughed at Eddy Kenzo’s grammatical errors whenever he is using the English Language to communicate. One person who has stood by the Sitya Loss singer for years without laughing at him or even judging him is NTV presenter, Sheilah Gashumba.
Speaking about her friendship with Kenzo, the TV star revealed that she has been there with him, supporting him, correcting his mistakes once in a while till he became the star that he is today.
Sheilah told us that she first met the singer at her sweet 16 birthday and from there on, she has been with him through his journey to stardom.
“We first met at my Sweet 16 Birthday Party, he used to tell me to always speak to him in English not Luganda so that he would learn the language, I remember one day he called me while he was in the studio to help him tell him words in English that he can use in ‘JAMBOLE’ at 1am!! It’s four years now and he is a Superstar too many and he speaks good English too!! Eddy Kenzo shine on always. No one is born a star, you work hard to be a star,” Sheilah said.
