Mombasa residents were treated to some rare celebrity drama after Tanzanian star Diamond refused to get off the stage when he realized he had just curtain-raised for his arch rival.
Diamond was at the coast for a gig organized in honour of Mombasa governor, Hassan Joho when the incident happened.
Diamond had worked the crowd up and brought down the house with a wonderful performance. It was when he was leaving the stage that he realized that he was not the headlight event of the day, his rival, Ali Kiba was coming on next.
Word reaching us, is that Diamond decided to extend his show much to the chagrin of the organizers, they practically had to beg him off the stage.
Then Ali Kiba, who also happens to be Joho’s favourite according to sources, got on the stage and delivered an equally electrifying show.
