Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) debutants Onduparaka FC held Express FC to a one-all draw in a game played at Muteesa II memorial stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday evening.

In a game where the Red Eagles squandered a lot of goal scoring opportunities, on-loan returnee from Vipers SC, John Ssemazzi scored an early second half header off Suleiman Mike Mutyaba’s corner to hand the home side a well-deserved lead.

Subsequent moments after the 46th minute goal saw Express waste many other chances before towering defender Rashid Toha out jumped his opponent to head home from Gadaffi Wahab’s free kick in the 60th minute.

Toha’s strike was the first goal of the season for the Arua based club following a goalless draw in their opening fixture against Soana and a 2-0 loss to Bright Stars on match day two.

Elsewhere, Brian Kakaire scored a late strike as Vipers SC shared the spoils with Uganda Revenue Authority Fc at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi on Tuesday. Bokota Labama had given the Tax Collectors a lead in the 72nd minute of the game.

At Kavumba Recreation grounds in Wakiso, home side Police FC were held to a goalless draw by newly promoted side, Proline FC while the score line was not any different when debutant side Kirinya Jinja SS hosted Sadolin Paints at Bugembe Stadium in the second eastern derby of the season.

BUL FC 0-1 The Saints FC
