SC Villa continued with their impressive start to the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) as they pipped Jinja based side JMC Hippos by 1-0 at Namboole Stadium on Tuesday evening.
After a barren first half, attacking midfielder Ambrose Kirya scored a 55th minute goal against his former bosses to hand victory to the Jogoos.
A season ago, Kirya helped JMC Hippos earn promotion to the topflight.
The result leaves the Deo Sserwada-coached side in second place on the 16-team log with seven points from three games and the only team yet to concede a goal this season.
JMC on the other hand dropped bottom with just a single point from their three opening league fixtures.
