Last evening, musician Geoffrey Lutaaya held his ‘Abaliyade-yadeko tuliluno’ concert at Club Obligato. The singer who was flanked by fellow De Nu Eagles singers and his wife Irene Namatovu got quite a number of revelers to come through and support him.
Geoffrey who was playing music on live band with a live broadcast on WBS TV enjoyed more than singing for his fans and getting paid. At one point during the show, top rich fans stopped him just to give him money.
“Please take this 500,000shs as fuel which brought here tonight,” said one of the fans. Another pulled out a cheque book and offered him 5 million shillings.
More rich fans stormed the stage as if in a show of wealth and drowned Lutaaya in cash before he got back up and snag his out for dear fans. He later appreciated them for taking time to come and support him.
He said; “I want to thank all of you for coming out today to see me and support me. It means a lot to me and my family. Mwebale nyo.”
