Blankets and Wine is back with a new twist. The quarterly event which has for long been hosted at the Uganda Museum grounds has shifted to a new venue.
The picnic style event, now in its 14th edition, will be held at the spacious Lugogo Cricket Oval grounds.
Announcing the change in venue, Flower Kenyangi, a representative from House of DJs (the franchise partners of Blankets and Wine) explained that Blankets and Wine has been shifted to a new venue to accommodate the growing audience and provide a better experience to revelers.

“We have moved to Lugogo Cricket Oval grounds to be able to accommodate a more relaxed and spacious picnic style experience. The new venue will allow revelers to enjoy much more space, more convenient and secure facilities.” She explained. “This is critical since the Blankets and Wine crowd has been steadily increasing.”
“The new venue will also solve the parking issues that have riddled previous editions,” she added.
Meanwhile, the event will still feature four live music acts. It will be headlined by South African duo Mafikizolo who will be supported by local acts; gospel singer Levixone, multi-instrumentalist Giovanni Kiyingi and Qwela Band.
The lineup will also feature a continental deejay, Saint Evo ‘The Myth’ from Kenya who will provide a unique music experience at the event.
Blankets and Wine XIV is slated for 25th September with tickets going for 100K. However, discounted tickets will be available from August 24th till September 15th.
